Dynamic read-write sorting line turnover box

On April 9th, a reporter saw in a logistics center that the distribution label previously attached to the side of the container box was missing. The staff of the logistics center told reporters that this is because the weekly packing is now equipped with RFID chips.
“The RFID chip has another mystery.” The staff said that the tote box with the RFID chip can automatically dock with the scanning and reading device and the wireless receiver to display, upload, and store the information of the items in the tote box in real time. The rate reached 100%.
As an important carrier of the Internet of Things, RFID chips are attracting attention because of their long-distance reading and high storage capacity. At present, it is rare to embed this technology into the logistics operation system and achieve certain results.

As an important carrier of the Internet of Things, RFID chips are attracting attention because of their long-distance reading and high storage capacity. At present, it is rare to embed this technology into the logistics operation system and achieve certain results.

So, where can the RFID chip show its strength? After repeated discussions, the IoT construction project team believes that the RFID chip’s ability to read and write repeatedly determines that it can replace the delivery label of the tote. By interconnecting the RFID chip with the information system, information interconnection can be achieved.
In June last year, the project team launched the RFID application project for tote management. They gathered scientific research forces inside and outside the industry, initialized the ID numbers in the RFID chips, marked each RFID chip with 6 digits representing retail customer information, and entered two groups of numbers, one light and one dark, into the system to lay down the management of tote classification Foundation. XX said that this is an innovation in the application of RFID chips in industry logistics.
At the same time, the project team took advantage of the sorting vacancies to make a technical transformation of the sorting line, and installed scanning and reading devices, wireless receivers, and displays. After repeated testing, the accuracy of online dynamic reading and writing increased from 60% to 90%, and eventually reached 100%.
What should I do if the scanning device misreads or cannot read the data? The staff pointed to the running sorting line and said that the scanning device would automatically receive the information in the RFID chip. If the reading was correct, the blocking valve would automatically open down the channel and drive the tote box into the wireless shield to read and transmit the information. On the contrary, the blocking valve prevents the tote from moving forward, thereby avoiding misreading and misinformation of information.

After nearly 4 months of hard work, the online dynamic read-write sorting line for RFID totes was officially launched in October last year. The manager said that the actual operation for several months shows that the management of RFID application projects for tote box can save the cost of distribution label printing every year, reduce the distribution cost, and improve the work efficiency.
In the speaking room, the staff took the reporter to the delivery platform. The reporter saw the delivery person pulling a whole pallet tote through the door, and the real-time information on the whole pallet tote and goods was displayed on the display. He told reporters that this is an extended application of online dynamic reading and writing of RFID turnover boxes. The access door with a scanning device can be used to reconfirm the goods that will be out of the warehouse and the tote returned after the distribution is completed, so that the sorting link can be seamlessly connected to the warehouse.
On the delivery platform, a row of delivery cars filled with cigarettes is about to leave. At this time, a device similar to a large-screen mobile phone held by the deliveryman caught the reporter’s attention. “What secret weapon is this?” The reporter asked curiously. The staff told reporters: “This is an RFID chip card reader. When the goods are delivered to the household, we use the card reader to scan the retail customer ID card. The time and quantity of the goods will be returned in real time.
With two cards and a card reader, the logistics center has realized the extension of online dynamic reading and writing of RFID totes from online to offline, and completed the closed-loop management of sorting to out of warehouse, distribution to receipt. The manager said that although the RFID application project for tote box management is small, it is a key node in the construction of the entire Internet of Things, which not only provides a powerful guarantee for the reform of the new marketing model, but also opens up a new path for the construction of the Internet of Things.
